The AOC Côtes-du-Rhône is the regional appellation that defines in 1937 the wines produced in the whole of the Rhone Valley .  The vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône "Belleruche" red cover 4 departments: Drôme, Vaucluse, Gard, Ardèche.  The terroir of the Domaine Chapoutier is clay-limestone, which gives the Belleruche an extraordian richness and complexity.  The grapes are harvested at good maturity.  The duration of the vatting is about 15 days and provides a beautiful tannic structure, which allows the aging and guarantees a good stability.
