Products of the domain : Château Talbot

Château Talbot, ranked fourth Grand cru in the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855, is a vineyard of 110 hectares in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle.

It owes its name to a commander of the British army, defeated and died in 1453 at the Battle of Castillon during the Hundred Years War: the Constable John Talbot.

The domain was acquired in 1917 by Désiré Cordier, one of the largest wine merchants of Bordeaux, which gave momentum to the reputation of Talbot. The domain is, to this day, still led by the heirs.
