Products of the domain : Château Cantenac-Brown

Château Cantenac-Brown is a domain of the Bordeaux region which originated in the early 19th century, when John Lewis Brown, animal painter of Scottish origin, bought the vineyard. The domain is sold in 1843 to a banker named Gromard and in 1855, the property is classified Third Grand Cru Margaux. 150 years later, Simon Halabi family gives new impetus to the field of Château Cantenac-Brown.

The vineyard of Cantenac-Brown is 42 hectares located on the bank gravel ground, typical of the Margaux appellation. The grape varieties are divided between 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 5%, giving fine wine with an intense bouquet conducive to aging, and Merlot 30%, bringing color, richness and roundness.

The "rational control" is now fully practiced and Château Cantenac-Brown has become more environmentally friendly.
