The estate was bought by Michel Bécot, whose family has settled in Saint-Emilion since the 18th century and exploits the vineyard there. The estate became Château Beau-Séjour Bécot .

The vineyard of Château Beau-Séjour Bécot developed to reach today 17 hectares on a homogeneous terroir of excellent quality, in the heart of the vineyard of Saint-Emilion , which allowed it in 1996 to be ranked 1st Great Raw .

The Merlot is the majority, but also Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon .
