Castle Sociando-Mallet is located in the municipality of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne at north of Pauillac, in Haut-Médoc appellation.
In 1969 the castle became the property of Jean Gautreau. Ideally located on the edge of the Gironde, offering panoramic estuary, facilities and vineyards covering 5 hectares are in a sorry state.
Since its acquisition Jean Gautreau has constantly expand his vineyard by buying its neighbors vines.
He renovates all the buildings, built a winery and gradually improves the vines of the property. Today, the vineyard covers 85 hectares and Haut-Médoc is now undoubtedly one of the most important cru.
