 Going back to its origins under Louis XIV, the Rauzan family acquired the estate in 1661 and it is then passed through generations. Purchased by the House of Chanel in 1994, the castle has had a complete renovation of the vineyard to the winery.

Château Rauzan-Segla opted for a plant protection in a reasoned agriculture. Four hectares have even gone into bio since 2010.

This second Grand cru classé covers 66 hectares in the heart of the Margaux appellation. It enjoys a soil consisting of fine and deep gravel.

 Its vines are composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Merlot 3.5% Petit Verdot and 1.5% Cabernet Franc.

The wines are aging in French oak barrels: the proportion of new oak used is around 60% and the wine stay there 15 months.
