In the 18th century, the castle became the property of the Lynch family. Jean-Baptiste, who became mayor of Bordeaux and Count of the Empire, was often absent due to his public affairs so he entrusted the management of the domain to his brother Michel Lynch knight.

On the death of Jean Baptist, the domain Lynch is divided into two parts : Château Lynch-Bages and Lynch-Moussas.

The castle now belongs to the Castéja family who also owns castles Batailley, Trottevieille, Bergat Domaine de l’Eglise, Beau Site.
