The terroir of Provence is perfectly suited to the cultivation of the vineyard: poor dry soils which transmit to the vines a pure minerality, an exceptional sunshine of 3000 hours per year and a constant wind that preserves the vines of the diseases. The vineyards of Provence have given birth to several Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée: Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, Coteaux Varois in Provence, Bandol, Cassis, Bellet, Palette, Coteaux de Pierrevert.

Rosé wines from Provence

Historic land of rosé wines, Provence is the first French vineyard of rosés AOC. It alone accounts for more than 30% of the national production of rosé wines and nearly 6% of the production of rosés in the world. The most popular of the wines of Provence is born of a delicate elaboration: the skin of the red grapes is left in contact with the juice for a short time. It is during this stage, which lasts from 2 to 20 hours, that the robe and the aromas of Rosé de Provence are forged. Rosé wines are increasingly appreciated by consumers, who are looking for clear, dry rosés: the specialty of Provence. The rosé wines are elaborated by assembly: each vine is vinified separately then the winemaker assembles them to obtain the best aromatic balance. The rosé wines of Provence are light and fruity and develop a beautiful aromatic power in the mouth.

Red wines from Provence

Carpets in the shade of rosé wines, the red wines of Provence surprising by their structure. Some red wines from Provence are savored in their youth, as an accompaniment to a summer kitchen. But the reds of Provence reveal a true potential of guard and are measured with the meats or the affirmed cheeses ... The red wines of Provence benefit from a great variety of reliefs and micro-climates, highlighted by a very diversified encépagement. No less than seven grape varieties are grown for the red and rosé wines of Provence: Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Tibouren, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Syrah.

White wines from Provence

The appellations Bandol and Cassis are famous for their white wines, but one finds very beautiful bottles in all the appellations of Provence. The whites of Provence present a shiny dress with green reflections. They release a complex set of aromas, between fennel and citrus fruits. In the mouth, their freshness and character are reflected in fish and seafood. The winemakers use grape varieties originating in Italy for white winemaking such as Rolle (or Vermentino) and white Ugni, but also Semillon or Bourboulenc White (or Doillon).
