The House, founded in 1812 will take the name « Veuve Laurent-Perrier » (widow Larent-Perrier) when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugene Lawrence, decided to join both family names.

In October 1948, Bernard de Nonancourt, who was passionate of the Champagne and the respect of traditional values, was appointed CEO of the House which then employed twenty people and sold 80,000 bottles. He infused Laurent-Perrier boldness and creativity and established special relationships with the winemakers. He created the Laurent Perrier style and developed a unique range of champagnes that are exported worldwide.
